My soul

I look up at the sky wondering
if my soul would fly. The beautiful
NEVER ending blue sky up there so very high.
Why could I only fly as I lay down dreaming?
I have to let my soul fly. I try and try
to let my soul fly but I can't I just can't let it fly.
I want to be free to see everything. No matter
how much I try to let my soul fly it just won't rise.
But I want so very much to let my soul fly
I call God to help my soul rise up and fly.
Now my soul can fly
free up down around town. I can finally
let it be KNOWN that my soul could fly.
