Aurora
The story behind the poem

AURORA is a poem about the loss of a very, very dear person in life - someone considered to be more than a best friend, rather a soul-mate. Perhaps in understanding the poem, one needs to consider the above as the other half of themselves. The loss is so deep and great that throughout life one can never be truly happy, optimistic or hopeful again. Aurora is crying for her beloved for it is upon his sudden death that her life is also taken away as swiftly and sweetly as it was given. Her paradise is gone.
